Community to Count On

Kamesha, a single young woman, fell on tough financial times after she experienced the unexpected loss of her very close sister, leaving her in a deep depression. She lost her one source of income, causing her to fall behind on her rental payment.

Kamesha was no stranger to McAuley House, which she had relied on from time to time in the past. She called and spoke with Case Manager, Rochelle, and explained what she was going through. Although she is now taking steps to heal from the loss of her sister, she was worried she wouldn’t be able to catch up on her past bills. Eager to relieve the pressure she has been facing, Rochelle was able to help Kamesha complete a rental application. After gathering all the documentation needed, she was deemed qualified and was approved for the entire amount of $850 to help pay back the rent she owed to her landlord.

Anyone can experience difficulties that can cause a turbulent chain reaction in our personal, social, and financial lives. When it happens, McAuley is always there to help. We are very grateful for donors like you who support the mission of McAuley in order to better serve those in need.
